While it’s true that tiger tourism in India’s national parks has a fair way to go to be in the ‘responsible tourism’ domain, a large reason why these national parks are still protected (and some of them have reported a growing tiger populaton) is for the revenue generated from tiger safaris – a better direction than zoos and captive breeding.
